2.2.6. Changing phone settings
Use the Settings command to present the Settings Screen (shown below) to customize I/Talk for yourself.

Buttons and fields on this screen
Your IP Address
This field is informational, and displays the IP Address of your computer.
Listen Port
Use this field to configure the I/Talk port when needed to allow access through a firewall.
Auto Start
Click this checkbox if you would like I/Talk to automatically start when you turn on your computer.
User Name
Displays your username. Your username is needed by other users who want to call you.
Your Image File/Browse button
Choose the image to display on the I/Talk phone of any person you are calling.
Initial Answer Text
Enter any text into this field that you would like to display to a caller initially when you answer your phone.
Outgoing Text Message
Enter any text into this field that you would like display to a caller whenever the answering machine picks up. This text is in addition to any outgoing voice message you may have recorded.
Number of rings before pickup
Use this field to control the number of rings that will occur before the answering machine will pickup and take a call.
Ring interval (In Seconds)
This setting controls the number of seconds between rings when the phone is ringing.
Record Outgoing Message
Click the Record Outgoing Message button one time to begin recording an outgoing message to be played whenever the answering machine picks up a call,
Click the button again to stop recording. Use the Play button to review what was recorded.
Play
Allows you to review the currently recorded answering machine outgoing message.
