2.4. Answering Machine

I/Talk has a built in answering machine which will take calls for you when you are on the phone or away from your computer.

Use the Settings button on the I/Talk main screen to change the settings for the answering machine. Here you may set your outgoing messages and set the number of rings before the answering machine will pickup a call.

The red LED light under the Message button will blink the count of new messages waiting. To review stored messages, click the Messages command button. When this is done, the Messages screen (shown below) will display.




To open a message:

Click on the checkbox next to the message you want to listen to and click the Open command. When this is done, the Open Message screen (shown below) will be presented.

Any text data which has been left as part of the message will be displayed in the text area shown in the lower portion of the screen.

Click the Listen To Voice command to listen to any voice portions of the message.

Use the view attachments command to view any images which have been stored for you.

Click Close to return to the Messages screen.


To delete a message:

Click the checkbox next to the message you want to remove and click the Delete command. After confirmation, the message will be removed.

Use the Close command to return to the I/Talk screen.
