1.3.1. Installing the programs
The Batch Scheduling System is made up of five primary components. The Manager, Console Monitor, Controller, Agent(s), and Alerts Processor. This procedure will take you through the process of installing each component.
If you have not already done so, download the Batch Scheduler package from the web site at www.ConquestDataSystems.com. (You may also install directly from the website by opening the following link: http://www.conquestdatasystems.com/setup.exe.)
Unzip the package into any directory that you like.
Note: This setup method will require an internet connection to complete the installation. The setup program requires the connection to access the files contained on the ConquestDataSystems.com website. You may also use the alternate standalone setup .zip package which can be found at this address: http://www.conquestdatasystems.com/PKGS/batsched.zip. Download the .zip file, unzip and run the setup.exe program contained. Follow on screen directions to install this package.
To begin the installation, run the setup.exe program located in the installation file directory you created.
Step 1
When the following screen is presented, choose the option for the Deluxe Batch Scheduler. To proceed with the next step, click the OK command. To cancel the installation, click Cancel.

Step 2
Next, choose the Batch Scheduler component(s) you want to install. To install components on different computers, re-run the installation on another computer and select only the component(s) you want to install. When you have finished making selections, click OK to begin the installation.

When the process has completed, you should see a message box to that effect. Click OK.
You can access the installed programs using either the Desk Top icons, Start Menu, or Start/Programs menu options. The installation process created shortcuts to the applications for you.
