Fields on this screen
Batch Name
This field shows the name of the Batch you are working on. This field is informational only, and cannot be changed from this screen.
Priority 1
Use this dropdown combo field to set a Priority Level for this batch. Batches with higher priority get precedence over lower priority batches.
Priority 2
Use this field to enter up to two characters to be used to further prioritorize batches. AA is a higher priority than ZZ.
Skip missed runs
When this checkbox is Checked, the Batch Scheduler will automatically skip over missed runs of a job. A missed run may occur if necessary resources are not available at the time a batch wanted to start.
Max Instances Allowed (at one time)
This field is used to limit the number of instances of this batch that may run in the environment at the same time.
Run Days
Use this set of fields to choose the method of determining on what days a batch should be run. There are four options to choose from. Use Calendar, Specific Days, Repeating Intervals, or run After another specified Batch.
Use Calendar
To use the Calendar scheduling option, you must first create a calendar (Manager/Calendar/Edit menu option). Once specified, the Batch Scheduler will look into the selected calendar to determine if today is a valid day to run.
Specific Days
Choose this option to indicate Specific Days of the week on which you want this batch to run, Sunday thru Saturday. Make sure the days you want to run on are Checked.
Repeating Intervals
This option lets you specify any repeating interval of time to determine valid run day. In addition, this option lets you add a Calendar specification that will be used in conjunction with the repeating intervals.
After Batch
This option can be used to indicate this batch should be run whenever another specified Batch completes. Always run BatchB whenever BatchA completes.
Run Times
Within the above Run Days, you must indicate the run Times for this batch.
Specific Times
When you choose this option, you will be presented with a number of StartTime/EndTime entry fields. Enter the specific times you want the batch to run on Run Days.
Repeating Intervals
This option can be used to run a batch at specific time intervals during a Run Day. Choose the interval and the interval value you want.
