2.7.3.1. Controller Details Screen
Shown below is the Controller Details screen.

Use this screen to maintain the controller defined for your batch scheduling system. As of this writing, only one controller may be defined.
In addition to setting up a controller entry in the database, you must have a physical machine setup having the controller program running on it, in order to have the scheduler system operate correctly.
It is possible to have all of the batch scheduler component programs (Controller, Agent, Monitor, Manager, and Alerts Monitor) running on the same computer.
Fields on this screen
Controller Name
This is the name of the controller. This name must be unique, and is used to reference the controller from other parts of the batch scheduler system. Name can be up to 64 characters, no spaces.
Description
Use this field to enter a description for this controller. Description can be up to 255 characters in length.
Controller Refresh Interval
This field specifies the interval in which the controller should check the database for work to do. This value is in seconds. You should keep this value low to allow the controller to check for work as often as possible. If you do not feel like the controller is being responsive enough, lower this value.
Max Batch Load
This field is used to indicate the maximum load that you want this controller to handle at any one time.
Menu options on this screen
Below is a description of the menu options available on this screen, and what they are used for.
File
Save Ctrl+S
This option saves any changes you have made to the draft file. This option will only be enabled when you have made a change to the detail information on the current screen. Changes are saved into the Draft file, and must be checked in to the batch scheduler in order to take effect.
Save And CheckIn
This option saves any changes you have made to the draft file and Checks In the changes to the batch scheduler.
Validate Draft
This option validates the current open draft document. If errors exist, a message box will display detailing the errors found. You will not be able to check-in a draft which contains errors.
Close Controller Details Esc
Closes this screen. If changes to detail information have been made, you will be prompted to verify if you want to save or discard your changes.
Window
Allows you to rearrange or access the current open windows in the Manager.
