1.4.1. System Setup
This tutorial section is intended to guide you through process of setting up the system data for your use.
System setup is typically a one-time task of configuring the system for your specific needs. After that, you may need to use these screens for minor maintenance of data or to add or remove an object or item in the database.
Once the system is configured, operation is very simple and this package is very easy to use for all of your daily operations.
You may skip to section Tutorial 1.4.2. at this time if you simply intend to use the supplied data for demonstration.
In the following subsections, follow through the steps and you may supply your own information where data is requested.
These sections will cover setup for:
Company Information,
Employees,
Locations,
Equipment,
Units Of Measure,
Chart of Accounts,
Inventory Items,
Vendors,
Customers.
These steps will involve using the Database Maintenance, Accounting, Purchasing and Order Entry modules in order to enter the needed information.
You may also choose to enter any of the information described in these sections as you find you need it while working with the package.
