1.4.6. Inventory Manager and Fetcher
The Inventory Manager and Fetcher pair of modules are responsible for managing and monitoring the flow of inventory items in and out of inventory storage.
Inventory Manager
This module is responsible for scheduling and monitoring requests for inventory check-in and checkout.
The Inventory Manager program is notified whenever there is something in the system which needs to be fetched and checked-out (customer orders and production) or picked up and checked-in to inventory (production and receiving)
The Inventory Manager then assigns each request to a Fetcher employee to perform the task.
Fetcher module
This module is responsible for managing and monitoring the individual check-in and checkout of items from inventory.
Each Fetcher employee can have their own fetcher screen to manage their individual task assignments as assigned by the Inventory Manager module.
