1.4.7. Shipping Manager and Shipper Assembly
The Shipping Manager and Shipper Assembly pair of modules are responsible for managing and monitoring the flow of completed orders for shipping.
Shipping Manager
This module is responsible for scheduling and monitoring requests for shipping completed orders which have been checked out of inventory.
The Shipping Manager program is notified whenever there is a customer order in the system which is ready to be shipped.
The Shipping Manager then assigns each request to a Shipper Assembly employee to perform the task of packaging and shipping the completed order.
Shipper Assembly module
This module is responsible for managing and monitoring the individual packaging of items for a given customer order being shipped.
Each Shipper Assembly employee can have their own Shipper screen to manage their individual task assignments as assigned by the Shipping Manager module.
