Sub Assembly Step Detail Screen
The Steps you define on the Assembly Package Details screen are used to define locations.
Within each location, you may define one to as many sub-assembly steps as needed.
There are three types of step entries that may be added to the sub-assembly step list.
These are:
Assembly step
Each Sub-Assembly step has a time limit specification associated with it.
You may also add BOM, BOE, and BOL to the assembly package at this level.
This is useful when you have a long job that only requires certain resources to be present only for a particular step in the manufacture process.
The Production Manager takes sub-assembly step resource requirements into consideration when scheduling a production run.
The Sub Assembly Step Details screen is shown below.
You reach this screen by double clicking on a step that is shown on the Assembly Package Details screen Steps grid.

When you double click on an entry in the sub-assembly grid, the screen will change to the following format allowing you to change the details for each sub-assembly step.

Product option condition step
This type of step is used to 'test' a product option setting (as requested by the customer) and skip over subsequent steps depending on the value of the option setting.
Supervisor signoff step
The supervisor signoff step can be used to ensure a supervisor has approved the results of a step prior to proceeding.
In order to proceed, when this step type is used, the supervisor must enter their username and password into the request supervisor signoff dialog.
When you have finished making changes to this screen, click the Save menu option to save any changes to the database.
