Customer Order General Tab

Shown below is the general tab of the customer order entry screen.



This tab is used to build a new customer order.

An order is built, by adding available items to the products ordered grid.

Once completed, you may save or place the entered new order.


Fields on the general tab

Order Number

Automatically generated number. You may enter your own as long as it is unique.


Order Date

Date the order was entered.


Hold Until Date

Places a hold on pulling the order until the date indicated.


A/R Sales Account
Use this combo box to choose the recording account that should be used for this transaction.


Products Ordered grid

This grid shows the list of products on the current order.


Products Available grid

This grid shows the products which are defined in the inventory system as either 'Product' or 'Service'.

Raw materials defined in the inventory system will not display in this grid,


Order comments field

Enter any text in the comment field that you would like to make for this order.


Sub Total/Shipping/Tax/Order Total/Total Paid/Balance Due

These fields show the current balance and charges information for the current standing order. As products are added or removed, these fields automatically update accordingly.


Save button

Use the save button to save and order which you do not yet want to 'place'.

When this is done, you may use the Edit button on the Orders screen to make changes to an order before it is 'placed' in the system.


Cancel button

Use the cancel button to exit this screen without saving your changes. If changes have been made, you will be prompted to save before exiting.


Place Order button

Use this button to 'place' a new order into the Tracker system. Placing an order makes the order active.


Add items to the order '<'

First click on the product shown in the available products grid.

Next, use the Left arrow button '<' to add a new product to the customers order.

When this is done, the Product Quantity and Options screen is presented.

Indicate the desired options and quantity then click OK.

Once this is done, the product will be added to the order and the totals updated accordingly.


Change item on order '<'

Double click on any row shown in the products ordered grid to adjust either accounts, quantity or options for the ordered item.


Remove items from the order '>'
To remove an item from the products ordered grid, click on the row to remove and use the right arrow button '>' to remove item row.

When this is done the item will be removed from the grid and the totals will be updated accordingly.
